Saw Khine Zan's Amazing Arakan Adventure ("the Game", "we", "us") is a free educational game designed for children. We take privacy — especially children's privacy — very seriously. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost none) and how we comply with applicable law.

1. Who We Are

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

This Game is directed at children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (USA) and GDPR Article 8 / UK GDPR (EU/UK children's privacy rules).

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information (PII) from any user.
We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site advertising profiles.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
All advertisements served on the Game are flagged as child-directed, which disables personalised targeting and remarketing under Google's child-directed treatment policy.

3. Data We Store Locally

The Game saves the following data in your browser's localStorage on your own device only. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

Your selected language (English / Myanmar)
Which stages you have unlocked and your best score per stage

You can delete this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Cookies

We do not set any first-party cookies. Google AdSense may set cookies as part of delivering child-directed (non-personalised) ads. Under our child-directed treatment flags, Google is contractually prohibited from using this data for personalisation or cross-site tracking. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

5. Advertising

The Game is supported by Google AdSense with the following settings enabled for all ad units:

tag_for_child_directed_treatment=1 — COPPA compliance
tag_for_under_age_of_consent=1 — GDPR-K compliance

These settings ensure only contextual, non-personalised ads are shown. No behavioural profiling or interest-based targeting is used.

6. Analytics

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics platform.

7. Third-Party Links

The Game does not contain links to external websites.

8. Data Security

Because we collect no personal data and no user data is transmitted to our servers, there is no personal data for us to secure server-side.

9. Your Rights

Users in the EU/UK have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, and erasure. Because we hold no personal data about you, these rights are already satisfied by default. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us at privacy@arakanadventure.io.

California residents: because we collect no personal information as defined by CCPA, no additional disclosures are required.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance.
